Hi, Welcome to My Blog!
A beginner blogger and beginner investor who is trying to F.I.R.E (financial independence, retire early) with her husband in Tokyo, Japan. Born in Vancouver, Canada and raised by Hong Kong parents, I decided to pursue a degree at The University of Victoria on Vancouver Island. I eventually graduated with a BA in Pacific Asian Studies and worked at office jobs around Vancouver. I was interested in exploring Japan, so I started teaching English with the JET Programme (2006-09) in Tochigi Prefecture.
Fast forward to 2014, saved up quite a bit of money teaching English in Tokyo but had no idea where to invest it. Eventually, I threw myself into a steep learning curve in navigating the Japanese stock market trying various things on our FIRE journey. This blog is for sharing things that I have been doing for making, saving, and investing money.
